Paisha is Tanzania's everyday money app. It moves money between people and businesses — collections, payouts and payment over time — and gives businesses the tools to sell on the same rails: a Swahili WhatsApp sales assistant, a CRM and instalments. You choose Personal or Business after signing up, and a personal account can become a business without starting again.

What is Lipa Kidogo Kidogo?

It is paying bit by bit against a single control number. You agree a total with a business and get one reusable control number; you pay it down in increments from any mobile-money menu. Paisha adds up each partial payment, tracks what is paid, pending and still required, and closes the sale automatically once the total is reached.

Which mobile networks does Paisha support?

Halopesa, Tigo Pesa (Mixx by Yas) and Airtel Money. Vodacom M-Pesa is not supported. Collection amounts run from 500 to 3,000,000 TZS.

How do I collect money from customers?

Accepted Answer

Two ways. You can push a payment prompt straight to the customer's phone, which they approve with their mobile-money PIN. Or you can give them a control number they pay from any mobile-money menu — no app, no data and no Paisha account needed on their side. Confirmation arrives by webhook, so pending, failed and timed-out are states you can actually see.

Can I pay money out again?

Yes. You can withdraw from your wallet to any supported mobile number. Standard payouts are free and arrive within about 24 hours, or you can choose instant for a small surcharge.

Is the OTP API really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Any registered developer gets a free API key that can send and verify OTP codes via WhatsApp at no cost — no subscription, no credit card. You only need a connected WhatsApp number on a paid plan to send the OTPs.

What is QUEEN?

QUEEN is our Swahili AI sales assistant, running on your own WhatsApp number. You add your products with a price range, and QUEEN greets customers, describes your items, sends product photos, negotiates within that range and takes the payment. Your minimum price is never revealed to the customer.

Can QUEEN sell my products in English?

QUEEN is designed exclusively for Swahili. This keeps the experience authentic for Tanzanian customers. If you need a multilingual bot, contact us for a custom solution.

Do you support webhooks for incoming messages?

Yes. Incoming messages are delivered to your own webhook URL in real time, so you can build custom chatbots, notifications, and support tools on top of the bot.

How do I get started?

Create an account and choose Personal or Business. Business plans are activated once you upload proof of payment and we verify it; you then connect your WhatsApp number by scanning a QR code, and if you are on a Bot plan you add your products and QUEEN is live immediately.

How do I pay for a plan?

We support local offline payments — bank transfer or mobile money (TZS). Upload your receipt and your account is activated after a quick manual verification.
